About Me
I’m Amy Eyers, an Independent Safeguarding Consultant. I help organisations strengthen their safeguarding systems so children are better protected and staff feel confident in their roles.
With over 14 years’ experience in children’s social care from frontline social work to senior leadership as a Child Protection Chair and Quality Assurance Lead I understand the pressures practitioners and leaders face. I use that insight to deliver safeguarding support that is practical, realistic, and makes an immediate difference.
I work with local authorities, schools, children’s homes, and charities to:
Carry out independent safeguarding audits and reviews
Provide bespoke training and workshops
Facilitate reflective case reviews that focus on learning, not blame
Advise on policy and practice changes to ensure compliance and effectiveness
My work is about creating safeguarding that is not just compliant with regulations, but compassionate, sustainable, and genuinely protective.
I’m also a published commentator, with analysis featured in Community Care and Social Work News, where I highlight frontline realities and give voice to practitioner concerns.
When you work with me, you gain an experienced partner who will help you prepare for inspections, strengthen your safeguarding culture, and give your teams the tools to succeed.
